A Christmas Poem
Christmas 2020 celebrations are going to be a bit different this year, but we can still have fun! In years to come, we may look back on these strange times with treasured memories of how we all had to adapt and embrace the situation - finding new ways to be together and finding a few diamonds in the rough.
Sometimes a bit of humour is what we need to keep positive. We hope you enjoy our Christmas poem, penned by Annabel Mackay, our Director of Education.
Christmas 2020
Christmas is always the time we like best,
Work is on hold and it’s one party fest.
We drink mulled wine with strangers and eat mince pies galore,
We ice skate, we carol sing, we see friends we adore.
There is not a night that we dare to have in;
Carol concerts, nativities, work parties with gin,
Every town in the country flaunts twinkling lights,
We all come together to share these delights.
This year, however, we must put on the brakes,
We are a little confused but will do what it takes,
There are no kiddies plays because we can’t crowd a room
And the work parties are now being held over Zoom.
But do not despair, do not think it’s a waster
Why not sign your kids up for our QniQr taster
They can declutter their rooms of outgrown clothes and toys
And sell them on our website to other girls and boys.
They will make their own money while selling the stuff
Learn about value and postage, and if that isn’t enough…
When Christmas comes there will be space for new kit.
Just sign up for free and see if they like it.
