How does Tradem work?
Tradem is the only online marketplace designed for under 18's to buy, sell or swap preloved or handmade items. Ready to start trading? Here's how it works...
Getting started

Let's get you signed up!
To get started you'll need to ask your parents or guardians to sign up.
They'll get a 14 day free trial and then it's only £3 per month! Your parents and guardians will get to decide which controls they want in place to keep you safe.
Time to create your own shop
The first thing you'll need to do in Tradem is design your shop. This is your chance to get creative to maximise the number of people who visit your shop and buy your items!

Sell, sell, sell!
Step 1
Adding items to your shop couldn't be easier. Simply add a title, description and some pictures! Check our tutorial on selling an item for lots of tips and tricks!
Step 2
There are lots of things to consider when deciding on a price. How much is the item to buy new? What is the condition of the item? Imagine you're the buyer...how much would you pay? How much are others selling the item for? Our 'Setting the right price' tutorial can help.
Step 3
Make sure you work out the postage costs accurately so it's covered by the buyer and doesn't eat into the money you make! We've created a tutorial to help accurately predict the postage cost.
Step 4
Once the buyer has confirmed that they are happy with their purchase, you will receive the money in your e-wallet. All that is left for you to do is decide how much to save or spend!
Ready, steady, shop!
Get browsing!
If you know what items you are looking to buy, simply use the Tradem search bar. If, however, you need some inspiration you can browse the categories and shops to see what items are available. Watch our video tutorial on buying an item for further guidance.
Get the best price!
Always compare similar items to ensure you are getting the best price. You may find a better deal or decide to offer a lower price for the item you've found. Remember to factor in the postage costs when deciding what you are willing to pay.
Receiving your item
Once your purchase has been confirmed (depending on the controls, this may be after your and the seller's parents/ guardians have approved the transaction), it's just a case of waiting for the item to arrive in the post (unless a local collection has been arranged).
Confirm
Once it's delivered and you have checked the item and are happy that it is as described, you simply confirm this is the case, and the seller will be paid, and you can enjay your new purchase.
